Saturday 1 December marked World AIDS Day and, this year, First Point worker Helen was out promoting our services, selling ribbons and talking to people about HIV.
Helen started her day over at Sternhall Lane Surgery in Peckham, where they were holding an event to help patients understand the importance of HIV prevention and how it is treated. First Point are already established in every HIV clinic across South London, but we’re now branching out into GP surgeries too. We know how much of a difference it would make if we could drop into our local GP for some of the services we currently have to travel to our clinics to use. First Point are in the early stages of setting up referral relationships with GP surgeries across South London. We’ll keep you updated when we’ve made more progress.
